Fourth of July and Goodbye

July 4th-15th, 2013
Our official goodbye to Vienna came quickly after we returned from Destin.  We were able to experience one more fabulous Fourth of July Fireworks show at the Capital.  This time we parked at the Pentagon and walked over.  The walk was short, and totally easy peezy!  Just in case anyone ever decides to do it, I want to say the Pentagon North Parking lot is open to the public.  And the crowds are not out of control.  It was super enjoyable and totally worth it!

The following Monday, our amazing friends the Kendigs and the Bournes threw us a really fun Open House so we could say good-bye to some of the wonderful people we had the pleasure of getting to know while we were in VA.

Millie left for girls camp the next day, and had a blast!  Our movers showed up on Wednesday and we were all packed up by Saturday, the 13th, and Millie came home from girls camp to an empty house and a hotel room.  We said our goodbyes at church on Sunday, partied one last night with the Bournes and left early Monday morning, July 15th, bound for our new adventure in Prattville Alabama.

Forgot to mention Neal planned a family 5k and kid fun run for the morning of the 4th of July.  It was hot and a tough course, but lots of fun to be with lots of friends!

A special thanks to the Bournes and the Kendigs for this great send off (didn't get a picture of the Kendig family unfortunately)!  Amazing friends like you are hard to come by!!

Off to girls camp they go!!

 Neighborhood friends!

It's a good thing I love looking at pictures of your kids, because I REALLY do not like re-living your goodbye! :(
