It's Great to be 8 : Simon's Birthday and Baptism Day

February 6th, 2015 : Simon turned 8 years old!  Simon wanted to do a roller skating party for his birthday this year.  So he invited two friends along with his siblings and four Stacy cousins.  We had pizza and cupcakes at the house before Neal and Mark took all the kids to Roller King to skate the night away!  Not sure how I don't have a single picture of the cupcakes or skating event!  Hoping Neal does on his phone, and I will add them later if so!

February14th, 2015:  Simon's Baptism Day. This day was so special and simple and easy!  It was a Stake baptism, and Simon was the only one in our ward getting baptized, so it was still very special and individual for him.  The talks and music were all provided by the stake, and we were able to just go and sit and enjoy the day and focus on the main event, the baptism. Many of his and our family friends in the Stake had children getting baptized so we saw lots of people we love at the baptism.  In addition, Simon's Nana and Papaw, and Mema and Grandpa were there, as well as Aunt Kari, Uncle Mark, Zach, Kali, Madelyn, and Lilly.  Simon is such a special kid, he was beaming the whole morning!  We are so incredibly proud of Simon and his decision to be baptized.  We love you buddy!

This uniform was probably one of Simon's favorite birthday gifts! He has been counting down the days until scouts!
