Family Vacation to Destin, Florida - #1

Needless to say, June of 2013 was jam packed full of all kinds of fun and adventure.  The kids got out of school on June 19th, and on the 21st, we packed up the car and began our journey to Destin Florida.  We really took our time because we wanted to stop by and check out our new place in Prattville, Alabama.  The plan was to spend a night in our new home, but when we opened the doors to our new place, we found lots and lots of little critters had taken shelter in it so we decided to take a quick peek and leave it to the professionals to kick out the squatters (and I mean way too many dead wasps, earth worms, cobwebs, crickets, etc...the explanation is the house sat empty for two months without AC, which causes this sort of problem).  We found a hotel in Montgomery, stopped by the Prattville Ward on Sunday, and were on our way to Destin.

Our hotel was in Old Town Montgomery.  These pictures were taken next to the river, and there were also some cute restaurants down there.

We ran into our friends the Amsdens at church!  Too bad they were just getting ready to move!
