Our first Sunday in Virginia (all of us together), we decided to take a drive up to the National Mall, so we could show our kids some of the really neat things about living so close to D.C. We just walked around and enjoyed the wide open spaces as well as the important buildings, monuments and memorials which line the National Mall. Millie was very interested, and of course the boys were all pretty clueless and just enjoyed the walking and exploring. It only took us about 20 minutes or so to get downtown and parked on a Sunday afternoon. Can't wait to go back with Millie to explore all the free museums and the Smithsonian! This day happened to be our 13th Wedding Anniversary! Happy Anniversary to us!!

The following Sunday afternoon, we decided to take the kids to see the Washington D.C. Temple. The temple grounds were beautiful, as we expected.
