Family Home Evening Success

Lately our little family has been a little bit "off".  We needed a little extra family togetherness and love.  Neal pulled together some "family team building" activities for us to do for FHE a few weeks ago, in hopes that our children might take away at least a little tiny bit of desire to try and work better together as a family, to have more unity and "happy" in our home.  The first activity was a little obstacle course.  Neal blindfolded each child and had Millie lead them through the course.  I am not sure they got the point, but they thought it was fun, and everyone was smiling.  The next activity was to build a human pyramid.  This one was actually funny because it really just turned into little kids on the backs of mom and dad and Millie.  But again, the kids thought it was fun.  We were spending time all together and working together to get a cute picture.  A picture with all smiles seems evidence to me that it was successful, even if the kids didn't really understand the point.

Such a cute idea! I'm a little disturbed though, that your family can snap a quick picture at the end of the day in your pajamas, and it turns out cuter than portraits we've attempted after hours of stress and preparation!
