Spring Break came for us the week before Easter (the last week in March). We took a very spontaneous quick trip down to Williamsburg to go to Busch Gardens for a day, a very cold day. It was snowing when we left Vienna. And apparently the park was shut down that day as well. When we rolled into the park at 9:30am on Tuesday, March 26th, it was about 40 degrees outside, if that. The parking lot was completely empty and I got this horrible feeling we missed the memo that the park was closed. However, as luck would have it, the cold weather chased away the rest of the NoVA Spring Breakers, and we practically and advantageously had the entire park to ourselves. The weather was less than ideal and we were shivering, but the kids had a BLAST! The rode their hearts out and did not protest when we left 30 minutes before closing at 7:30pm. (I took one or two very uninteresting pictures on my iphone that day. I may or may not eventually add them to this post)
When we arrived home from Busch Gardens, a welcome party was waiting for us! Kathryn (my sister), Sam and their little cutie, Ivy were already at our house, ready to spend the rest of Spring Break with us! We had such a great time with them! Hiking, playing outside, enjoying the warmer weather they brought with them! They stayed through Sunday, so we got to enjoy Easter Festivities together, an Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, and then a nice Sunday Easter Breakfast with the Bournes on Sunday, and Easter Pork Loin for dinner! We had such a great time together, and the kids loved spending time with little Ivy! We can't wait for them to visit us again!
The Friday before Spring Break, Noah's little preschool class had an Easter Party, with an Easter Egg Hunt:
Random picture of Noah washing his hands in preschool. He's so handsome :)
We took Kat, Sam and Ivy on a little hike in Great Falls. Justin and Ivy had some bonding time.
We all had a few moments of bonding with little Ivy.
This girl cracks me up!
The guys went for a nice bike ride in DC and then rode back home.

Love Justin's "Pedro" face. Vote for Pedro!
Noah waiting patiently for the little Neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt to start.
My kids were in the standard form for a quick pic before church on Easter Sunday.
