We started out the spring with a family home evening on planting seeds, and we actually planted seeds in little cups and watched some of them sprout into little plants. Neal took them outside and planted them in random places in our yard and began a small garden. For a month or two we had squash and zucchini coming out our ears! Anyone who really knows me knows I do not really care for (understatement) vegetables of most any sort. However, I made several batches of zucchini bread from the zucchinis in our garden. Sad to say, most of the squash ended up in the trash. About a month or so ago, Neal was out in the yard and discovered a raspberry bush he had planted, with lots of beautiful little berries growing on it! He called Millie out into the yard and had her pick them, wash and eat them. Millie did not even know she liked raspberries! She goes out there every few days and brings in a handful of raspberries. It is so cool to eat food from our garden and for Millie to see and enjoy the products our (Neal's) labor.

yum! How fun! That reminds me of going up to Utah to Grandma Great's house and picking raspberries in her backyard. Those we totally the days!
