Kari turned 30 on September 28th. The weekend before her birthday, she decided she wanted a girls getaway weekend. As it turns out, Kelli and Kathryn were both able to fly in and we had the perfect girls getaway in San Francisco! We left on Friday around lunchtime and grabbed Costa Vida, got pedicures in Roseville and then headed to the Bay Area and arrived at the Marine Memorial Club Hotel (strategically located in Union Square) around 4:30pm. From there, we got ready for dinner, and then took a scary cab ride down to Hillstone (a very delicious restaurant that used to be called Houston's). We hung out at Pier 39 a bit and then headed back to the hotel. The next morning we ate a yummy breakfast buffet at the hotel, and then headed out to Union Square to shop our legs off, and eat, and shop, and then eat some more. Kari got a MAC makeover for a special birthday treat! It was just fun to hang out, with no schedule or anything to rush back for. And when we arrived back home at 10pm Saturday evening, the kids were soundly sleeping and the house was immaculate, as Neal is so wonderful to always do for me when I am not home for a few days! Thanks Neal for watching over the circus while I was away, and thanks sisters for such a fun weekend! HAPPY BIRTHDAY KARI!! I LOVE YOU!
