June 8th: U-2 Finiflight
Neal has been flying the U-2 for almost 5 years, and has deployed 9 times to the desert, Cyprus, Korea and Quatar. He will miss the challenge and mission of the Deuce (aka The Dragonlady), but is very excited to spend a few years flying a desk, and not deploying. Justin and I went up to see Neal get suited up and see him take-off and land his final U-2 sortie. Our good friends Bryan and his dad came up with us. Gary Sinise (aka Lieutenant Dan) just happened to be visiting Beale and getting a ride in the U-2 at the very same time, and even landed in his U-2 right before Neal. It was kind of fun to see a fellow celebrity in the Heritage room (of course our U-2 pilots are all celebrities).
June 16th: T-38 finiflight
We were all there to greet Neal at the end of his final sortie he flew with is fellow pilot and friend Sharky.

LOVE these pics! They are so great! Wish we could have been there to see Neal's last flights...it really is amazing what he has been doing these last 5 years. We are so grateful we have gotten so much time with you here! WE MISS YOU GUYS SO MUCH ALREADY!! Love you!!
