Mom's Big 6-0

My sisters and I secretly planned a fun "girls" weekend to celebrate my mom's 60th in September.  The idea was to have a pampering, shopping, eating out weekend with whoever could make it out. It turned out to be a REUNION weekend of pure non-stop chatty siblings hanging out and catching up and it was SO GREAT (nearly KID-FREE, or at least free of the ones who complain and have opinions)!  Not to mention the surprise of the century!  My mom had no clue that ALL her kids were going to end up having a big slumber party for a few days!  Kari and I flew out on a Thursday, and Kathryn flew in at the same time so we could arrive together.  Kari and I were expected (we broke the surprise a few days earlier because Mom was trying to make other plans that we had to put a stop to).  Kathryn and Marshall were very UNEXPECTED.  So that arrival was fun!  And then the surprises kept on coming.  Kelli showed up with a couple extras....Eric and Sarah!  And then just when Mom was ready to turn in (seriously...makeup off, moo-moo on)  Tyson and Val showed up just after midnight!  Except for Meghan who would join us the next day, the party was complete!  And we had one surprised and very happy Mom.  It was so much fun!  The schedule was super laid back, pedicures, shopping, eating, singing Happy Birthday like 500 times, and just chatting and catching up.  It was a great weekend!  And my baby in tow hardly made a peep.  She's such an angel, as usual!

Lucy's first flight!
